The Rauschmayer Fairy Tale
Once upon a time there was a 20-year-old boy named Roland, who was professionally trained as a decorator. After recently falling in love and achieving happiness, he thought life couldn’t get any better, until one day a carrier pigeon came to him. The white pigeon carried a small, transparent satin bag with two beautiful bright golden rings shining through. Roland has never seen such valuable pair of jewellery and immediately had the desire to give his great love an equally beautiful piece. But as soon as the pigeon disappeared in the clouds, he realised that he could never raise the necessary funds for such beautiful ring. As a trained decorator, he would never earn enough money to give his beloved such expensive presents. Driven by the lack of career perspective, and with his great love in mind, he decided to found an own wedding ring manufacturing. This way, he could give his loved one a precious gift each day and craft an infinite number of rings according to her wishes. Starting with only 2,500 DM and an old VW-beetle, Roland Rauschmayer actually managed to soon become one of the most renowned names in the wedding ring industry. From then on, the young brand was able to compete in the competition and grow to one of the most successful manufacturers in Europe.
Today, Rauschmayer supplies a wide range of retailers with a wide variety of designs and product variations and can look back on more than 50 years of Roland Rauschmayer Ring Manufacturing.

The Lucky Doves
It’s not real without the lucky doves!
Each wedding ring is a handmade special production and all of them have been punched with the lucky doves since 1963 – a genuine sign of quality! Our manufacturing process allows us to offer a 25-year guarantee on every handmade Rauschmayer ring for subsequent purchase.
Likewise, in the over 55 years since the company has been established, no bridal couple has ever had to get married without their Rauschmayer rings – we deliver on time!
The Bond for Life
With great care and attention to detail, Rauschmayer has been creating small works of art in Pforzheim since 1963. And even though the age of technology has arrived in modern production, so much is still created by hand as was the case hundreds of years ago – and that is a good thing! Because no matter how highly specialised and engineered it may be, a device or machine simply cannot do what real expert hands can do; that is give the rings an individual soul.
A pair of rings passes through many hands before it can be placed onto the finger of your loved one on the best day of your life. The precious raw material has to be cast, milled, turned, set, polished and thus treated in various ways before it can go through everyday life with you as a glittering piece of jewellery. And all Rauschmayer employees are well aware of this responsibility, as well as the great honour that comes with it. Thanks to what they do, they become a part of someone’s life story. They become daily companions and symbols of a great love.

Involvement in the Community
Creating perspectives to fight poverty
Since the company first started, this motto has been the driving force behind Rauschmayer wedding ring manufacture in Pforzheim.
Now in the second generation, father and son not only share a passion for unique jewellery, but also the determination to share hard-earned success with the those less fortunate in the world. “Being successful automatically makes you responsible – not only in daily business decisions, but even more so in dealing with and for each other”, explains Chris Roy Rauschmayer, Managing Director and son of the company founder Roland Rauschmayer. This almost characteristic responsibility is not only preached for PR reasons, but is actively lived out in many projects.
“Our cooperation is promising since we understand involvement in the community in the same way and tackle poverty at its roots,” says Roland Rauschmayer with regards to the partnership with Fly & Help. In a country like Ghana the hunger for education is as strong as the hunger for food. This is particularly the case in the north of the country, where the infrastructure for education is very limited.
The Rauschmayer Family School should offer a way out of this dilemma. The project has one goal: to provide grammar school education and technical education to young people between the ages of 14 and 18. The pupils should then have the option of continuing vocational training in craft trades.
“Children are our future! It is our responsibility to support them on their way and to provide them with an education, no matter where they are in the world. This is the only way we can we create perspectives and fight poverty,” explains Roland Rauschmayer. A solid education with a lasting effect is the best solution to tackle the poverty problem in West Africa.
Managing Director Chris Rauschmayer described the involvement in the community as follows: “It is very important to us in the Rauschmayer family to give disadvantaged people a piece of our success back, which is ultimately only made possible by our customers!”
And so many projects, such as the annual activities in cooperation with Europa Park Rust or the donation of land for a school in Uganda, will certainly help to bring this worthy idea and energy into the world.
